Teacrate is entering an exciting new phase of growth, investment and transformation, creating an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Operations Director to join our Senior Leadership Team.

As Operations Director, you will take full responsibility for leading our national operational network, overseeing five depots and driving operational excellence across the business. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our future strategy, developing high-performing teams, enhancing customer experience and delivering the scalable processes and systems required to support ambitious growth plans.

The Operations Director role at Teacrate will involve:

• Leading and developing multi-site operational teams, ensuring exceptional performance, service delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, OTIF performance and operational excellence.
• Developing and implementing operational strategies aligned to business growth objectives and customer expectations.
• Taking ownership of transport operations, workforce planning, health & safety compliance and operational budgets.
• Working closely with Commercial and Senior Leadership colleagues to deliver an exceptional end-to-end customer experience and achieve strategic objectives.

The ideal candidate for an Operations Director at Teacrate will have:

• Proven experience leading complex multi-site operations across multiple locations.
• A strong track record of driving operational performance, customer service excellence and OTIF delivery.
• Experience managing geographically dispersed teams and developing high-performance cultures.
• Senior Leadership Team experience, contributing to business strategy, growth and organisational change.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, including budget management and P&L responsibility.
• Experience implementing operational best practices, systems and scalable processes.
• Outstanding leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A customer-focused mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Proven experience leading significant business transformation and change initiatives.
• Strong workforce planning, talent development and succession planning capabilities.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with a hands-on leadership approach.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across the UK.

Desirable:

• CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification.
• Experience within logistics, transport, supply chain or service-led operational environments.
