Warehouse Operative – Despatch

40 hrs per week, Monday to Friday - 8.00am - 4.30pm
1 in 10 weekends required with 2 lieu days

Working as a Warehouse Operative – Despatch you will work as part of the Countrywide Operations Team which provide a highly effective and customer focused service. The job involves performing order picking and packing duties and vehicle loading to distribute products for end consumers, care homes and other businesses.
The Warehouse Operative role at Countrywide will involve:
- Picking and packing customer orders in accordance with their individual requirements, daily workload allocation and pre-agreed targets
- Putting stock away in the pre-determined stock locations and keeping stock locations up to date where movements are made
- Liaising with the Management team to ensure that relevant, and timely, information is provided relating to any issue with customer consignments
- Loading of customer orders onto vehicles/collating orders ready for collection by external carriers or the click and collect service
- Maintaining high levels of Health and Safety standards and reporting any safety observations to line management
The ideal candidate for a Warehouse Operative at Countrywide will have:
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working at pace while maintaining quality standards.
- Positive, upbeat, and energetic approach to work.
- Flexible and willing to take on a variety of tasks to support depot operations.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
