Key Account Manager (HoReCa)
Location: National (ideally based in Midlands)
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 (subject to experience), OTE £64.500 - £69.500 Plus Car Allowance
About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Key Account Manager to join the team at phs Group.
Reporting into the sales leadership team, you will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of strategic HoReCa accounts, ensuring exceptional customer service while identifying and delivering new business opportunities. You will build strong client relationships, support contract renewals, and work collaboratively across the business to maximise revenue and customer satisfaction.
This is a national role requiring regular travel and customer engagement.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Key Account Manager, you will:
- Achieve annual new business revenue targets across your portfolio of strategic accounts.
- Proactively manage customer contracts and secure successful renewals.
- Develop and present value-added account plans that support both customer objectives and phs commercial goals.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across customer organisations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.
- Work closely with the Tenders Team to produce proposals, bids, and supporting documentation.
- Generate accurate management reports, including pipelines, revenue analysis, risks, opportunities, and action plans.
- Ensure clear communication and effective stakeholder management at all levels.
- Maintain a structured programme of customer visits and account reviews to maximise growth opportunities and service delivery.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven success in a key account management, business development, or sales role managing high-value accounts.
- A strong track record of delivering growth within a B2B sales or service environment.
- Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
- Experience within hygiene, facilities management, consumables, hospitality, or similar sectors would be advantageous.
- Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to influence stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Strong organisational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
- High levels of motivation, resilience, and customer focus.
- Good IT skills and experience using technology to drive productivity.
- The ability to work independently and effectively manage your own diary.
- A full, clean UK driving licence.
