Regional Operations Controller - Part Time, 20 hours a week

Wastekit is looking for a Regional Operations Controller to play a key role in coordinating service activities, supporting engineers in the field and ensuring customers receive an excellent level of service.
As a Regional Operations Controller, you will be at the heart of our service operation, managing customer enquiries, coordinating engineer schedules, processing service administration and supporting the delivery of both planned and reactive maintenance activities. You'll work closely with Service Engineers, Field Service Supervisors and internal teams to ensure customer expectations are met and operational standards remain high.
What the Regional Operations Controller role at Wastekit will involve:
- Managing incoming customer enquiries and service requests, ensuring they are handled professionally and resolved where possible.
- Scheduling and coordinating Service Engineer workloads to maximise efficiency and meet customer service requirements.
- Creating, updating and managing service appointments, keeping customers informed of progress and expected timescales.
- Preparing repair quotations, processing service documentation and maintaining accurate customer records.
- Supporting engineers with ordering parts, materials and equipment while ensuring all service administration is completed accurately and on time.
The ideal candidate for a Regional Operations Controller at Wastekit will have:
- Previous experience in a service administration, scheduling, planning or customer service environment.
- Excellent communication skills with a professional and confident telephone manner.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build positive relationships with both internal and external customers.
- Experience coordinating workloads, appointments or engineer schedules.
- Good IT skills and confidence using business systems and scheduling platforms.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
- Experience working to deadlines and maintaining accuracy under pressure.
- A proactive approach to problem solving and customer support.
- Understanding of service level agreements (SLAs) and customer expectations.
Desirable:
- Experience within a service, engineering, waste management or field-based operations environment.
- Experience using contractor portals or service management systems.
